Sound familiar?

Most small businesses don't have an IT problem. They have a nobody-to-call problem.

If any of these ring true, you're in the right place.

See plans and prices →
  • Our IT person is whoever's least busy that day.
  • I don't even know who has the admin password.
  • I rang support and got a ticket number, not an answer.
  • Someone emailed pretending to be our supplier.
  • A client's asking for Cyber Essentials and I don't know where to start.

Accounts, laptops, files, backups and passwords brought up to a proper standard, with as little disruption to your day as possible.

  3. 3

    Looked after every month

Updates, backups and monitoring run quietly in the background. When you need help, you message one person and get an answer.

Who you'll deal with

Hi, I'm Joe. You'll always know who's looking after your IT.

I've been sorting out people's tech since 2008, first at a school in St Neots, then running my own repair business in the town.

Since 2013 I've worked in London, mostly in highly regulated industries: at an international law firm, where I managed the London IT support team, at investment firms including a global hedge fund, and at a global telecoms company. I've worked alongside international teams and set up offices in London, Paris, Dubai, New York and Boston.

Now I'm bringing that experience to businesses here on the Weald, in plain English and at a fair price. I live in Alconbury Weald, so there are no call centres and no being passed around. Every request is logged and tracked, and it's me who picks it up.

Cyber Essentials

A client or insurer asking for Cyber Essentials? We'll get you there.

It's the UK government-backed certificate that shows your business has the basics covered. Most of what it asks for is already part of every Nimble plan.

Not a client? A fixed-price readiness project is available from £595. The certification fee is paid directly to the certification body.

Prefer to do it yourself? Read our free step-by-step guide →

  1. Find the gaps

We check your setup against the five areas the scheme covers: firewalls, settings, user access, virus protection and updates.

  2. Fix them

We sort out anything that's missing, so you're not left translating jargon on your own.

  3. Get certified

We help you complete the assessment and keep you compliant every year after.

Projects and add-ons

Networks, phones, cameras and office moves

Everything around your IT, handled by the same person, so you never have to juggle another supplier.

Managed networks

Fast, reliable Wi-Fi, firewalls and switching, built on Ubiquiti UniFi with no ongoing licence fees. Designed and installed as a fixed-price project, then monitored and managed remotely.

Ongoing management included on Business and Concierge, or £40 a month per site on Solo and Team. Hardware and installation quoted separately.

Business phone systems

Cloud phone systems with proper call routing, voicemail to email and apps for mobile and desktop. Keep your existing numbers and take calls from anywhere.

Set up as a project. Call plans quoted per person.

Cameras and door access

Security cameras and door entry managed alongside your network, usually on UniFi Protect and UniFi Access so everything lives in one app. Other systems where they suit you better.

Quoted per site.

Office moves and setups

Moving, expanding or opening a new office? Broadband, network, phones, printers and desks planned and set up, so your team is working from day one.

Fixed-price project.

IT procurement

Laptops, phones, screens, printers and software sourced at the right price, set up and delivered ready to use. No more guessing which model to buy or waiting in for deliveries.

Included on every plan. Available as a one-off for non-clients. Hardware billed separately.

Secure device disposal

Old laptops and phones still hold your business data. We wipe them with a certificate for your records, then have them recycled or refurbished through an accredited partner.

Priced per device, from £20.

Free for Alconbury Weald businesses

Start with a free IT health check

A 45-minute remote review of how your business is set up today. You'll get a short written report, scored red, amber or green, with the three fixes that matter most.

It's a review, not a sales pitch. Fix things yourself, with me, or not at all. That's your call.

What we look at

  • Email, accounts and who has access to what
  • Laptops and phones: updates and protection
  • Backups and how quickly you could recover
  • How easily someone could fake an invoice from you
  • Whether you're paying for the right Microsoft or Google licences
  • Wi-Fi and how files are shared

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Anything else? Ask me during your health check.

Is there a long contract?

No. You're billed monthly with no tie-in. Just give 30 days' notice whenever you want to leave, and everything is handed over to you. Prefer to pay annually? You get two months free.

What does the onboarding fee cover?

A proper setup, done once and done right. I audit your accounts, devices and data, switch on two-step sign-in for everyone, set up your backups and test the first one, enrol and secure your devices, set up 1Password for your team, and write up your setup so it's documented rather than kept in one person's head. It's a one-off fee equal to one month's plan fee. Moving from another email provider, or reorganising large amounts of files, is quoted separately so you know the cost up front.

Do you come on site?

Most things are fixed remotely, usually much faster than waiting for a visit. Business and Concierge plans include regular visits. On other plans, on-site help is quoted when you need it. I'm based in Alconbury Weald, so I'm never far away.

We use Macs and Google Workspace. Is that OK?

Yes. I support Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android, with either Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.

We already have someone. Can you take over?

Yes. The health check shows where things stand, and I handle the handover so nothing gets lost along the way.

Will anyone else work on our systems?

Day to day, it's me. For specialist work or holiday cover, I sometimes bring in trusted contractors, who work under strict confidentiality agreements. I also use carefully chosen suppliers for tools such as backup and remote support. Either way, I stay responsible for your service.

What happens if we leave?

You always own your Microsoft or Google account and every password. If you leave, you get everything handed over, along with the record of how it's all set up. It's in our terms.

Are Microsoft or Google licences included?

Licences are billed at cost with no markup, and reviewed regularly so you never pay for seats nobody uses.

What about evenings and weekends?

Support hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, excluding bank holidays. Emergencies, such as a hacked account, ransomware or your whole team being unable to work, are covered 24/7 on every plan. Monitoring and backups run around the clock, and Concierge clients also get a 1-hour response from 7am to 10pm, seven days a week.
